Well-known artist, illustrator and photographer Roy Besser studied art at the Graphic Sketch Club of Philadelphia. After working for a Philadelphia ad agency, Besser went to work in New York City where he
began to make a name for himself as an illustrator for The Saturday Evening Post, Readers Digest, Field and Stream and other popular magazines. After a two year stint in the Army, he returned to the advertising
business and his accounts included Universal Pictures, Coca Cola, Douglas Aircraft, Air Research Corp. and MGM Studios. In 1959, he handled the national Pepsi Cola campaign.
